I've applied 9 months ago for disibilty, theyvth sent me to theyret therpipest and they're doctors. I just seen they're doctorfor my lungs 3days ago. How much longer do anyone think it will take them to make a decision??? Plz help I'm stressing

My Disability Examiner called me today and asked me some questions about my function report. Afterwards, she stated that "the doctor was reviewing my records and a decision will be made real soon" How long does it take for the medical doctor to review the records and the decision to be made? Will they request to send to a Consultative Exam at this stage or do they have enough to make a decision?

Hi, I went for a hearing in July of 2016. In December, I was sent to two ce exams. One was for xrays of my lower back, the other was a physical exam. I took copies of the MRI I had done previously of my lower back. My questions are: How long before I hear a decision? Is it normal to go to ce exams after the hearing?

It's been going on 6 months. I don't see this as being a good thing. However the first time I applied. He was denied in less than 3 months.

Getting the medical files is the next to last step. The last step is the decision. From what I've gathered, it takes around 120 days. If you need the process sped up, you might can email one of your state Senators for help. There is a sample email online. Search "asking senator for help with disability". You should be able to find an example.

I just went to my consultative exams (I had two) last week. I spoke with my examiner and she had only received records from my primary care doctor. I found out she never requested records from 3 of the hospitals I was in, 2 being hospitals where I had brain surgery. My case was started in November, it is now February. I had to get my attorney to make sure the examiner requests the rest of my records. I pray I hear "approved" or "fully favorable" soon.

I applied for ssi for my son. It's been over 120 days. So I called to check the status of his case. They told me that it was still pending. The examiner was requesting medical records. Are we getting closer to a decision and is this a bad thing?

I was in contact with my dds case worker through my whole process which i started in May a week ago she called and asked for some information today she finally called me back and no longer needed the info said a decision has been made and i will be receiving it in the mail within 4 to 6 weeks. Is that a good thing or a bad thing do you think. I have bad anxiety and this isnt helping at all. Any opinions would help.

I have been too 3 exams the last one was march 7. That soical security have sented me to. Is that a good thing or bad? All the drs told me i was disabled. The last one asked me what do i want soical security to help me with? And this is my 3rd time apply and this time they sented my mom a fuction report about me.

Average times are about 4 to 6 months from initial application to a decision. This varies by state and by case, of course. Both SSI and SSDI have the same standard of disability, so being disabled for one, qualifies being disabled for the other. However SSDI requires having worked long enough and recently enough to be insured and a person also has to prove that the disability began before the date last insured. SSI has income and asset limits. Note: I am not predicting what will happen in your case, just offering general information. Good luck!

I applied for SSDI on November 20, 2013 within six days (6) of applying they sent me for Mental Status Evaluation. Question 1. How long after going for a Mental Status Evaluation does it take to hear from social security? Question 2. Is it a good sign or bad sign that they sent me so quick? Question 3. I had a phone interview for SSI, if I am approved for SSI will I be approved for SSDI, an if so how long does it take to get a reply?

I have been through the initial process, (decision 8 months) hearing process,(hearing scheduled after 1 year, decision after 5 months) appeals process (decision took 16 months) and now starting the civil process going on 3.5 years for me as of this writing. I have 2 fractured discs not repairable, and 13 other diagnosis. Four of which are on their list of impairments. (MA)

i am waiting for a decision on my daughter claim it already been about 4 months and
i have not gotten a decision from them yet and been 5 months since i have not
receive a check for her yet and she is 18 but she is still in school and will be out
until this june and i need her money for personal items she need in school
