  • I think that in many respects, success in a Social Security disability case turns on whether you can enlist your doctor's help in translating your medical problems into specific work limitations. Almost any medical problem will be considered "severe" for SSA purposes. A far bigger issue - proving that these medical problems leave you unable to perform work or work like activities. You are absolutely right - getting a statement of medical limitations from your doctor is critical.
