if i move from alabama a state that does chip in on benefit to mississippi as state that does not chip in, will my check amount go down?

SSI is the same but some states supplement it. So while the actual SSI amount stays the same, what people refer as their "SSI" benefit can be different. The link in the post provides information about which states supplement SSI benefits and what the "SSI" amount is in that state.

Hi, I'm receiving SSI benefits for myself, but I want to move back to Texas. I was approve in Florida where I currenty live. I know SSI payments for a child was taken once they moved from Texas to Florida. Would SSI payments be denied for myself, if i choose to move from Florida to Texas

Are you trying to intentionally screw up the original commenter? Social Security benefits continue even if a person moves to a different state. There is no need to discontinue SSA benefits if a person is relocating.

Hello my name is steve and I've been on social security disability ssdi for about 3.5 years now I have bipolar disorder and I have ms I legally blind in my right eye and blurry in my left eye trouble walking have really bad memory and so on and I'm originally from Massachusetts but moved to ohio 3 years ago and now ohio seems to think that I can go back to work how is this possible

I'm having a hard time making heard or tail of your comment.
1. SSI comes with Medicaid and there is no waiting period to start Medicaid.
2. SSDI comes with Medicare and a person has to get 24 months of benefits (2 years) to be eligible for Medicare.

Plus I am thinking about moving to Arizona due to my health but right now I am get Federal & State funding so if i would move would they take my state from me if I move to Arizona because if they do I would be living on 733.00 an I know that will not work because my experience would take maybe 50% of my monthly benefit then I would lose my transportation
